this is why i have and will always advocated the european system of bike zones on the sidewalks. it’s not that drivers necessarily don’t give a fuck, it’s just that most drivers aren’t trained to deal with bikes and it is legitimately difficult to spot a bike within the roadway. i know that moving curbs is a bitch but IT’S WORTH IT.
